eircom To Launch Cheaper Telephone Service

Issued 11 May, 2004. eircom's retail division today announced plans to reduce telephone costs for customers with the introduction on 1st June of eircom talktime. Prior to the introduction of talktime, the telephone service in Ireland was already fifth cheapest in Europe for residential customers and sixth cheapest for businesses, according to the most recent ComReg Quarterly Review.
What is TALKTIME?
talktime is a cheaper telephone service from eircom combining rental, calls and value-added services available at a single rate. talktime is the most innovative telecoms package offering for customers in Ireland today.
eircom talktime offers savings of up to 35% on the average business and residential phone bill. talktime for business is primarily aimed at SME customers.
talktime will also be cheaper than mobile packages because of eircom's cheaper call prices. Unlike mobile, there are no penalties for exceeding agreed allowances. With eircom talktime, unused minutes can also be carried over to the next month.
